Camille Faria is the new CEO of Multiner

Camille Loyo Faria was nominated Chief Executive Officer of Multiner, which is a holding company that controls electric power generation companies. This change is part of a process to professionalize the management of Multiner, designed to add value to the Company’s assets.

Her predecessor in the position, Jorge Amilcar Boueri da Rocha, was elected Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors. Mr. Boueri will continue to contribute with his extensive experience in the building and operation of power generation projects.

With a strong background in finance, Camille Faria, a 36-year-old executive born in Rio de Janeiro, was responsible for the electricity and telecommunications industries of Morgan Stanley’s investment banking operations in Brazil. Previously, she was the Chief Administrative and Financial Officer of Terna Participações S.A., and headed up its Initial Public Offer (IPO) process. She has also held senior management positions in the finance strategies area of the Telecom Italia Group in Latin America, where she led the corporate restructuring process of the TIM group in Brazil. Camille Faria has also held management positions in financial strategy and corporate finance in Embratel. She worked in investment banking and consulting firms. She holds an Engineering degree, having begun her studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and completing them at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio). Moreover, she holds an MBA in finance from the Brazilian Capital Markets Institute (IBMEC) and a Masters Degree in Production Engineering (with emphasis on finance) from PUC-Rio. Her professional involvement with Multiner began in 2008 through her work on behalf of Morgan Stanley, which currently is one of the coordinators of Multiner’s IPO.

“Camille Faria is an executive who will bring corporate management experience to our business, after the setting up phase conducted by engineer Boueri, who brought to the company his great expertise in the field of electric power generation,” said José Augusto Ferreira dos Santos, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Multiner.

“Brazil has an enormous potential for growth in the forthcoming years and the electricity sector, which has installed capacity of approximately 107,000 MW, must expand to about 150,000 MW by around 2016. For me, it is a very big challenge to be heading up a group of so many talented individuals in very different corporate segments,” said Faria, who also accumulates the position of Investor Relations Officer.
