WIND POWER GENERATION
The wind farms of Alegria I and Alegria II stand out in Multiner's power generation portfolio. Located in the town of Guamaré, in Rio Grande do Norte state, they are planned to have an overall installed capacity of 151.8 MW.
The wind plants' design consider their construction in an area with one of the best wind regimes in the country, with average annual wind speeds exceeding 8.5 meters per second.
The 92 wind turbines of Alegria I and Alegria II were manufactured by the Danish supplier Vestas Wind Systems A/S, a world leader in wind power plants equipment and were all received at Suape Harbour, in the state of Pernambuco. Due to their dimensions and technical specifications these equipments are being conveyed in parts to the site.

The Alegrias complex is inserted in PROINFA (the Brazilian Alternative Energy Incentive Program) and has PPAs (power purchase agreements) to supply power energy for a period of 20 years.
Alegria I and II Power Plants are expected to be able to supply electricity to approximately 194,000 households, avoiding 115,000 tons p.a. of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.
